steam has zeno clash preorder @ 50% off, $9.99
its a first person melee fighter game based on source, looks like it might be interesting,
curious though as to the length, content and repetitiveness...

also odd world, abe's oddysee, abe's exoddus, $2.50 each or $3.75 for both. Great games, I wish they had not switched to xbox only platform after those.

Zeno Clash hasn't been released yet, it's not getting released until April 21, this was just a pre-order offer and it has ended now.
There will be another pre-order offer closer to release at 25% off.

they are doing a 50% off of various ubi games this week. hopefully they get something good up, although I am not sure what that would be. What I find annoying was that I was going to pick up zeno clash, but the price had jumped a few hours after I made the post. Oh well, I did pick up UT3 and the oddworld games (again). Now to find some time when I get sick of L4D to install UT3....

Weekend deal is $9.99 for the Ubisoft Classic Pack, which includes Beyond Good and Evil, Far Cry, IL-2 Sturmovik: 1946 and Dark Messiah. Dark Messiah is not available outside North America though, so it's a bit of a rip-off for the rest of the world.

Steam is becoming like a movie of the week club. Really their deals are cheaper than going to the movies, and can give much more pleasure. Kudos to their business model. Also L4D hit 2.5 million retail sales, this is outside of steam. Valve is looking like a pretty strong company, especially for publishing games. I did pick up Farcry2, and they must be getting killer sales because they extended that sale through Monday. The classic pack - maybe. Is IL-2 good? I liked the demo for dark messiah.

Shit, I was going to get IL-2 (mine only has a few of the extra missions and whatnot) and having the first FarCry on Steam is nicer than my 5-disc install (), but I already got the other games lol... Oh well $10 for those 2 isn't bad anyway...

May as well pick it up for the £3.50 it is. I've not played a Tomb Raider game for yonks, so it will be interesting to see how they compare to what I remember.

That's the cheapest price I've ever seen for a game of that quality, one that's so recent too.

Well, I'm glad Anniversary was only 5$. Lara moves like a brick truck, the camera fights you every step of the way and graphics are already outdated. Couldn't even get past the tutorial ledge. I'm getting too old for these games.

Indeed, Lara mirrored my attempts perfectly : banging her head on walls, going nowhere. I wanted to scream at my screen after five minutes. I'm sure kids today can play these things but I'm a relic.

Honestly I think it plays VERY much like the original which is pretty "relic" too I actually liked Anniversary for being harder than Legend for instance. You really need to check your environment on this one. I like it

Yeah, of the 3 Tomb Raider games I've played (Legend, Anniversary, Underworld), I like Anniversary the best by far. Boss fights are awesome too.

Just bought Anniversary last night, been playing it for about 3 hours now.
Never really got into Tomb Raider back on the Playstation, but I played a bit here and there.
All I can say about Anniversary is, wow, just wow! Only 5 bucks, this is one of the best purchases I have made on Steam yet.
Everything about the game I really enjoy, even dying repeatedly on the same jump until you get it right. Overall the feeling of "really" Tomb Raiding is strong enough for me to get lost in it for hours.
I have a feeling once I finish Anniversary, I'm going to want to pick up Legend and probably Underworld too.

Anyone having Anniversary being a big pain? Every time I perform a ledge jump, there's a motion-blur freeze that makes the framerate skip and lag.

Also, the game locks up on tutorial messages. Not always, but often. The messages stay on screen for 30 seconds and then the game resumes, or it freezes permanently and I have to alt-tab out and kill it with the task manager.

Neither Steam or Eidos support have anything on it.
