perhaps you mean the xxx HRP mod? on his sight there is a download of it. perhaps if someone with artistic talent and the energy to make the rest of the babe models and make more xtras for the HRP would work on such things, there would be more.

Perhaps you could just repost it here? I am missing it for some reason I don't know.

*EDIT*
Nevermind, I found the tile in an old forum thread. I will re-add it to the pack.
Of course, the changed folder structure of upcoming XXX Pack will make it necessary to release a modified version of the XXX Pack. I will do it when it's time to do so.

Stop your drooling! It's still just the half-naked table dancers, nothing more! No completely nude women... at least not until more babe models are available.

Got this message from Thundik81 today:

Quote:
Just for information (host provider doesn't limit bandwidth), on my mirror, DUKE3D HRP XTR v1.0 (only !) was used for download (partial or complete) 6967 times since august 22th.

Total bandwidth : 92.5 Go
Aug : 8.26
Sep : 26.9
Oct : 33.3
Nov : 24.1
Now, *this* is a force to be reckoned with!

Re: High-Res Pack XTR
Very simple: It's download traffic in GB (gigabyte)! Meaning: 92.5GB have been downloaded from Thundik81's site, which probably is the HRP XTR only. This roughly corresponds with 6967 downloads (6967 x 144MB)!

Errr, guys... what's this? *LOL*

link removed

You could also actually REPORT such things over here when uploading rather than ignoring them! It's GPL after all!

Unhappy Re: High-Res Pack XTR
Help!

I tried playing the Duke High Res release of Nov 2006 last night. The older version without high res worked great, but the High Res one went about 5 frames per 10 seconds. What are the requirements for running this High res Duke! I believe I have 1 Gig for ram for a 1.4, (maybe 1.7?) GHz computer at home. The video card is pretty ancient, maybe 4-5 years. I think it has 32 megs or RAM & is made by NVidia. (Please stop laughing)

Thanks in Advance!

Sounds like you lack hardware acceleration. Install whatever the latest driver that works with your card is. I believe support for such old cards was removed a while back, but there should be some kind of legacy driver for it on nvidia.com.

Or maybe it's just the lack of video memory? As someone pointed out recently, the textures in the HRP are quite large, even by modern standards. My system takes a pretty big hit from the HRP; I can run some fairly recent games like UT2K4 better than I can run EDuke32 with hi-res.

I am not sure what I am supposed to think about this Torrent mirror... is this good or bad? I mean, it's GPL and people can do what they want with it. But somehow I get the impression it's nothing that one should be proud of.

*nix's are in torrents. Plenty of legal stuff are in torrents too, that is why there are torrents. Torrents are legal, what they are primarily used for are not.
The thing with a torrent of the HRP is that it might not be seeded very much after the first week or so of the release, unless there is a perma seed somewhere.

Torrent is good as long as it's being seeded.
