You can download it and burn it to a disc. I did that with my Volume 1.

Check your download folder and you'll find a printable cd case cover and back.

It's not available in "conventional" Cd's. If you bought it, you can burn it to a CD for yourself.

DirectSong also includes some great super hi-res covers that you can print out and put in the CD jacket. Here are some tiny pics. The full size images are 2850x1425:

I don't know. I got the Limited Collectors Edition, which had a coupon for downloading the first soundtrack. The second one cost me $9.99.

I will not pay any money for just a soundtrack. It would be the same as paying real money for weapons inside a game Cough*diablo 2*cough.

No its not. Game OST CDs have been around for years. Some people love the music enough to want to listen to it outside the game, I don't see what is wrong with that. Directsong even encodes them in high quality for you

I have Final Fantasy and Chrono Trigger OSTs in their PSF/SPC form, because I happen to love the music.

Soundtrack =/= ingame music.
Soundtrack has no loops and it a real song while in game some are loops and stuff like that.

What do you mean by "did it" ?

Are you saying you had a free DirectSong coupon that came with your game or that you paid for one/both soundtracks seperately and didn't get them?

If you entered a valid code at DirectSong, you can go ahead and download the first album free of charge. Check your DirectSong account. Check your e-mail, too, including your junk mail folder (in case the DirectSong confirmation got flagged as spam).

When you login to DirectSong, check your Downloads section.
You should see something like this:

Re: About the soundtrack...
Ya, they have you download a program, that links up to there servers and then that downloads the music. Seems kinda weird, but it works!

"Take me home?"

It's not on either album. You'll have to extract it from the game. There's a few other tracks in the game that I really liked which weren't on the CDs, like the Asteroid Mining sequence. (It's called 'spindle_a4_big_asteroid.ogg')

It's on the "bite this" compliation album, which is avalible. It's just not volume 1 or 2. It's a third album.

Okay, so where and how can I extract it from the game?

Edit: Never mind, haha, I figured it out!

If the "Bite Me: Music Inspired by Prey Soundtrack" doesn't interest you, you can download "TAKE ME HOME" as a single off of iTunes... just FYI. Also I've seen an iMix or two where fans have created "Prey Song Soundtracks" - basically playlists with links to a collection of songs from the game, downloadable from iTunes.

Prey has one of the best soundtracks I've heard, really good work on there too.

Re: About the soundtrack...
Which of the two soundtracks has the best selection of game music ? Most interested in the final boss fight score, but wondered if it's a first game half on one DL/ second half on second thing...
