I love the 3DRealms animated logo thingy at the very beginning of the video.

The trailer was good. This game should be awesome.

I just didn't like the old guy's dialogue. Very harsh to the ears. Thick cheese.

Yeah, we went through a few iterations before deciding on this more classic / timeless approach. I'm sure we'll continue to improve / evolve it for future videos.

Thanks man, and yeah - it is! Kicks super ass. If it's a good game, it makes creating a trailer so much easier, and trust me - the Super Trailer was a *pleasure* to assemble.

Tommy's OMG was really badly doe, obviously it wasent done on purpose, but maybe they need to re-do that line with the voice acting done proper. Even Grandpa's voice acting was below-par. Some cliches too (Tommy! Help me!).

I just worry that by not showing otherwise, they're allowing the common perception of "meh, it looks like Quake with fancy enemy spawns" to persist, perhaps to the point of cooling the hype & hurting sales.

That "Oh my god" actually fits the scene in the game it's in. In the trailer, that voice over is in a completely different scene. Actually, nearly all the voice over in the trailer is completely out of context from the game just like most movie trailers you see with overdub voice over. For instance, watch the recent Cars trailer for the upcoming Pixar movie. They selectively edit scenes and voiceover together to make it appear to have context that it doesn't if you were to watch the movie and then go back and watch the trailer.

The trailer has it's own logic so as to be cohesive in and of itself. Jeron did a good job of using dialog from the game to convey a sense of self contained story in the trailer.

The high res one is very nice, and really just makes the trailer feel more atmospheric. It definitely gets me in the mood for some Prey gaming.
