JFSw Vista/Win 7 Sound Fix + Visual Studio 2005.
I added the eduke32 sound system to jfsw, which fixes the vista/win 7 sound bugs, and I compiled a visual studio 2005 project for shadow warrior but theres a problem with the pallete TerminX i know we talked about this before, but any ideas about whats going on?

ProAsm's SWP does have a Vista soundfix. As for your pallette issue, I havent a clue.

Does SWP have OGG support?
And good luck on your... other source project(s), IceColdDuke. |

Re: JFSw Vista/Win 7 Sound Fix + Visual Studio 2005.
I'm not very well atm but I do read the forums on occasions.
Regarding the visual problem I would suggest maybe its a visual studio 2005 problem as I had a similar problem when I used the Borland compiler. Try compiling with Watcom or some other compiler. As for ogg support, well there has never been a request for that and its a lot of work for just music which in my book is way down the priority list atm. We have the midi stuff working now and once SW takes off a bit then the 'cream' can get added Oh, Rapidshare should be banned from these forums as it only favours some countries. Development software should be totally free on a non paying requested site.

Re: JFSw Vista/Win 7 Sound Fix + Visual Studio 2005.
Is this really ever gonna happen now ? We had a surge of action for a year or so shortly after the source release, the JonoF port and with the HRP getting started, but its all since died off and hasn't really moved since.
I'm all for it, would love to see advances in the ports, the HRP, modelling and newly coded game extras, but i just can't see it happening without a major announcement/release. edit// Would just like to add, i'm not dismissing your great work ProASM, its much appreciated and without it we wouldn't have the great SWP et al. Not to mention the lovely map packs... Wonder who compiled those hehe.

Re: JFSw Vista/Win 7 Sound Fix + Visual Studio 2005.
I think shadow warrior will take off but there hasn't been alot of "port support" for features like eduke32 has. I like visual studio 2005 : ), i have a few things comming up in the next release...

What happened to that Duke room-over-room patch you said you were doing?

Re: JFSw Vista/Win 7 Sound Fix + Visual Studio 2005.
Spme of this is off-topic
Does this pallete issue happen when you use replacement textures (for example, the HRP) and how would i make it do a replacement ogg for music? You might be on ta something with your .ogg support, ive wanted this in SW for a while. I had this pallete problem in JFDuke before, but my hard drive failed and i never got round to attempting to fix it.

Re: JFSw Vista/Win 7 Sound Fix + Visual Studio 2005.
I really don't understand this OGG support requirement. OGG is like betamax, superior, but rarely used and won't ever overtake MP3.

Re: JFSw Vista/Win 7 Sound Fix + Visual Studio 2005.
Mp3 has licensing issues, ogg does not.

Re: JFSw Vista/Win 7 Sound Fix + Visual Studio 2005.
Yeah, as far as I know. I think you'll have to change the solution file's version field to one version lower than it is now as I have VS2008 and not VS2005, though.

Re: JFSw Vista/Win 7 Sound Fix + Visual Studio 2005.
When I created my own project on function MV_GetVoice it returns with MV_VoiceNotFound, and no sound plays .
