Congrats guys, Duke Nukem 3D is the most played Xbox Live Arcade game on it's first week out.

On top of that, we cracked the top 10 of all games played on Live, and that counts biggies like CoD4, Halo 3, and all of those games.

See, now that DOES surprise me. Duke is the best game online (IMO) but that really is something

This isn't surprising, I figure the folder most opened on my computer is C:\DUKE3D\
Thus I play it most, if i had an XBOX (I don't like modern consoles, emulators work after a while anyhow) i'd be playing Duke on that too.

Thats because classic firstpersonshotersauce is much better than the overcomplicated-but-really-shiny stuff that comes out these days and in this is one of the best we're talking about.

hate to be the party pooper, but with Mega Man 9, and War World out today lets see how Duke Nukem Stands up.

a little off topic, I didn't care for EITHER game. (Mega man 9, or War World)

Agreed. Seeing it in direct competition with games like CoD4 shows that good gameplay is not only immortal, it also keeps attracting people. This truly destroys any doubt of Duke3D's status as a gaming classic.

New games have lots of graphics but lack player experience enjoyment.

Duke Nukem 3D, Quake (1, 2 & 3) and Counter Strike have succeded not because of their single player game, but for the multiplayer experience.

As a teenager i played duke3d on modem against a friend, with the internet ... Quake 2 lots, a little Quake 3, then college, and no games called my attention anymore. The only game that has gained my heart back is Duke 3D.
