I know better DNF version, you need:

1. a 1k6 dice
2. ability to count to 6
3. lots of patience

what You must do:
1. roll a die
2. read what corresponding number means
3. repeat

so numbers on a die mean:

1 - engine switch and everything must be made from scratch - so no DNF for You!
2 - 3D realms got lazy spent money on hookers and booze - so no DNF for You!
3 - George played too much WOW and missed another deadline - so no DNF for You!
4 - 3D Realms shutdown no one is left to work - so no DNF for You!
5 - Lawsuit because the game was not made on time - so no DNF for You!
6 - Settlement reached but nothing can be spoken - so no DNF for You!

Scratch that, I needed to get rid of one of the walls before I forgot about it. And that'd be an awful long way just to go for the freeze thrower...
