I haven't heard many contrary opinions about this game. Interesting post. I've yet to play ME2 and wouldn't mind a shooter if it's interesting enough but I did enjoy ME1(except for the repetitive planet missions) so it's good to have more reasonable expectations about this.

I agree. ME2 is a shooter basically. I like ME1 a lot more, even though they fixed the shooting in ME2.

I elaborated in detail on what I like and dislike in RE5 in a separate entry. RE Addendum; if you like, we can argue there about that :p

I played RE4 on Gamecube and still found it to be superior to RE5 in every way.
While RE5 may have fancy graphics, I actually enjoy the visual style and look of 4 much more.

And while it's all a matter of opinion, and I know some people love RE5... it was a huge letdown for me. Almost as much as FarCry 2.

Totally disagree with RE5. RE5 went wrong everywhere. Intense, maybe but it lacks atmosphere, something RE4 had. Also screw Chris, Leon FTW.

And more satisfying than RE4? Maybe if you played the PC version of RE4. ;)

RE5 is RE4 + AI partner + horrible inventory - all horror + shitty shop system + other crap that ruins it.

It takes RE4's formula... and completely ruins it. The AI team mate is with you every minute of the game... and she it HORRID.

Really? I only expect minor, if any, changes. From what I've seen it seems RE4 with prettier graphics :confused:

You are going to be REALLY letdown with RE5.

Funny thing is - it was exactly the other way round for me.
I didn't like Diablo 1 so much (still don't do) but pretty much liked D2 from the beginning :)

I really loved it only a few years later, though. The expansion makes it a whole lot better, as well.

I totally agree with you on this. I am a huge Silent Hill fan but I think its time to lay the series to rest for at least a long time. Maybe a revival in 10 years or so but no more milking the series. I never liked the 4th game, and Homecoming was alright (the combat system was horrible imo).

Yes, it should have ended with SH3.
