[QUOTE=Joe Siegler;835296]I was talking SOLELY about Manhattan project. No other title.

AND AGAIN WITH THE SOURCE CODE - MOST OF THE OLD GAMES DON'T EVEN HAVE THESE MATERIALS IN EXISTANCE ANYMORE! I answer this a zillion times, I don't know why people think the answer will change! [COLOR="Silver"]

But Joe it must be easy as a fly to type that in now. Should see how fast you can type that exact sentence in seconds. A little off topic but did you read what I said in the collection pic topic. I have the gold enterprise!! you have the plain one

I remember reading something about it just being "the remaining stock" that 3dr was selling on some games, it might have included shadow warrior, maybe it is that george hates it, or it might be that they have so little of them it isn't worth doing anything else with it except just leaving it for sale here.

I'll repeat what I said. These stories are amusing. Nothing in your post here is accurate at all.

Somebody guessed (I'm guessing), and started passing it around as "Hey, I read this".. It's been my experience that the use of "I read this" is a euphemism for "Here's what I think"...

I seriously doubt it. George has nothing to do with any of this, and Scott has effectively farmed it out to Apogee LLC. I doubt he knows what's going on either.

What was the question, anyway? We don't recall everyone's pet question for all time across the entire userbase, you know.

What makes you think that's everything? Come on dude, think. Not everything is "snap your fingers, it's there". Some games require more work than others. There's rights and licenses and all kins of stuff to sort through.

Besides, this is not being handled by us. It's being handled by the guy who is doing that "New Apogee" stuff. 3DR is not putting these games on Gog. It's not up to me/3DR as to what goes there.

Chill out - it's not a major conspiracy to stop you from buying your favorite game again, you know.

Re: Apogee on GOG.com!
Hey guys! I drop by these forums once in a while to read various threads about Apogee's classic games, and it's great to see that others started getting into PC gaming with them as well! Apogee and id Software were the ones that pulled me away from my Super NES all those years ago and made me a PC gamer permanently!

Also, I usually only buy my games from either Steam or GoG.com now since digital distribution is an awesome thing. I was floored to see Apogee on Good Old Games, and even though I still have my copy of ROTT I got for Christmas that my sister paid $44.99 for at EB since I didn't want anything else, I bought it again on GoG because it's just that awesome!

I really love what Good Old Games is doing to revive the classics since they're what I'm about (I just got a shiny new Core 2 Duo system, but I've been playing DOS games for the past few weeks! Huzzah!), but I was going to ask if all of Apogee's classics are going to eventually appear on GoG.

The Legacy Interviews are very interesting, Joe! I'm to assume that all of those original developers own the rights to their game(s), correct? So they would have to have a say as to whether or not their game appeared on a digital distribution service, or is it 3D Realms' say?

Like, for example, Scott Host owns the rights to Raptor, right? Yet, 3D Realms still sells the original DOS version in your online store. How does that work? If Raptor were to appear on a service like GoG.com, would it be Apogee's original DOS version, or Scott's Windows version? And who decides?

Thanks for reading Joe, and thanks for being a part of many classic PC games I still make sure I can play every time I upgrade my PC!

Why pay for a game that I already have and it works on Win 9x, XP and Vista?

It only requires some computer knowledge or follow tutorials, dos box is simple to use and for games that do not take dos boxes can be used a Virtual PC.

Or build a Vintage pc! like Pentium MMX 16MB of RAM

I wonder Joe, if you guys have received any numbers for these.. and if you're able to talk about this at all? DN3D has been on top of the bestseller list since it was released, and ROTT is 2 now right behind it.

Also the BS-Hint file is missing from the gog install..

Is there anything Important added in the 3.0 Patch or is that unimportant?? Meaning do I need the 3.0 patch or not

No, I gave them 2.1 for this. The only thing that changed from 2.1 to 3.0 was a price drop. The game itself was unchanged. When we mastered registered 3.0, a mistake was made and the full version was shipped out with the "Buy for $29.95" branding on the paid for copy. Gog didn't want that version, and since we had no materials available to fix it, they just went with 2.1.

There's only about six people on the Internet that would care about that anyway. Congratulations. hahahahaha

Also, you sure there was a bs-hint.exe?
