Ah, well, least we didn't loose too bad, I saw this coming. Duke did well though.

I hope Mario wins now, I hate Link, f***ing anime reject sword weilding faggot! I thin Mario will take the trophy anyway, which is a little boring, but at least it isn't a crappy character.

Of course, back on the link subject, I do appreciate the original game, much as I don't enjoy it, I can appreciate it's innovations, like battery-backed saves and it being a new genere really, that is awesome, I just don't like the franchise, never have... Presumably the fact I can't complete the "Link to the Past" for Super Nintendo has something to do with it, that game is coded like garbage, way below Nintendo's regular standard... OK, I'm off topic, I just thought I'd clear this up before I got nasty comments back :-)

I think its great that Duke was in the first 8 ESPECIALLY when the choice of some of the contestants were out of place imo and made the contest lame (pac man,mario,megaman,sonic,donkey and other characters that are more "mascot" creatures than what i would call Hero with personality). Just think how THOUSANDS of games have been released since the beginning of video games and you realize Duke success as character.

If we omit those STUPID "mascot" characters in the standings then the real winners are :

-Duke Nukem
-Gordon freeman
-Ryu
-Kratos

Btw the dude from Kingpin and Max Payne should be in the contest and top in the list.

Gordon isn't really ahead of link he's 45600 (+1; hey that's me

) at 45642; it's a pitty to see all these mascots like you guys said win against real heroes; i never played half life nor legend of zelda but i voted for gordon, he's the only one left that's worth voting.

That's prolly because of the steam update news when you start steam asking members to go vote for Gordon. Have a feeling he's gonna win.
